Filing a windshield claim is easier than most people think. Here's exactly what to do, or skip to the end and let us do it for you.
Step 1: Take photos
Photograph the crack or chip up close and from a distance. Note the date, where you were driving and what happened (for example, "stone hit the windshield on the DVP").
Step 2: Find your policy details
You'll need:
- Your insurance company's name
- Your policy number (on your pink liability card or in your insurer's app)
- Your vehicle's year, make, model and VIN
Step 3: Report the claim
Call your insurer's claims line or open a claim in their app or website. Tell them it's a glass claim. Many insurers handle glass claims quickly, sometimes in the same call.
Step 4: Choose your glass shop
Your insurer may suggest a shop. You can still tell them you'd like to use Windshield Toronto Replacement. Give them our name and number, and we'll coordinate directly.
Step 5: Book your replacement
We come to your home or workplace, or you can come to us. Most replacements take about an hour, plus curing time before you drive.
Step 6: Pay your deductible
We bill your insurer directly for the rest.
Or skip all of this
Send us your insurer name, policy number and a photo of the damage. We'll confirm your coverage, open the claim with your insurer and book you in. Most customers don't make a single call.
