If you're insured with Desjardins and your windshield is chipped or cracked, your replacement may be covered. Here's how it works.
Check your coverage
Windshield damage is usually covered if your Desjardins policy includes comprehensive or all perils coverage. You can check this on your policy documents or in the Desjardins app or online account. You'll pay your deductible, and the rest is billed to your insurer.
How to start your claim
- Report the damage to Desjardins through their claims line, app or website
- Tell them it's a glass claim
- Let them know you'd like to use Windshield Toronto Replacement
Or skip all of that. Send us your policy number and a photo of the damage, and we'll coordinate with Desjardins for you.
Can I use my own shop with Desjardins?
In Ontario, you generally get to choose where your car is repaired. Desjardins may recommend a shop, but you can ask to use us instead.
What we do for Desjardins customers
- Confirm your coverage
- Handle the claim details and billing
- Replace your windshield at your home, work or our location
- Recalibrate your safety cameras if needed
FAQ
Will this raise my Desjardins premium?
Glass claims under comprehensive coverage aren't at-fault collisions. Ask Desjardins how a glass claim affects your policy if you're unsure.
How fast can you do it?
Often within a day or two of your claim being approved.
